Overview

These Terms of Use govern your use of RestLabs. By downloading, accessing, or using RestLabs, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Use of RestLabs

RestLabs is a gym companion app that provides rest timer tools, short educational content, language learning cards, workout logging features, credits, collectible backgrounds, and related app features.

You are responsible for using RestLabs safely and appropriately during training. Do not use the app in a way that distracts you from your surroundings, equipment, or other people.

Fitness and health disclaimer

RestLabs is provided for general fitness, timing, logging, and educational purposes only. It is not medical advice, coaching advice, physical therapy advice, nutrition advice, or a substitute for professional guidance.

You are responsible for deciding whether an exercise, rest period, workout, or training routine is appropriate for you. Stop exercising if you experience pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, unsafe discomfort, or any symptoms that concern you. Consult a qualified professional before starting or changing an exercise routine, especially if you have a medical condition, injury, or other health concern.

Workout logging

RestLabs may allow you to log exercises, sets, reps, weights, duration, distance, and related workout information. Workout logs are informational only and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or lost if local app data is deleted.

You are responsible for checking your own entries and using your own judgment when training.

Educational and language content

RestLabs may show knowledge bites, language learning cards, quizzes, deep-dive cards, and other short-form content. This content is provided for general educational and informational purposes.

We aim to make the content useful and accurate, but we do not guarantee that every item is complete, current, error-free, or suitable for every situation. Language translations and pronunciation guides are practical learning aids, not official linguistic or professional translation services.

RestLabs Pro subscriptions

RestLabs may offer an optional paid subscription called RestLabs Pro. RestLabs Pro may unlock or expand access to premium app features such as additional knowledge categories, language packs, premium content, collection rewards, increased credit earning, or other Pro benefits shown in the app before purchase.

The exact subscription options, duration, price, free trial availability, and included benefits are shown in the app before you confirm your purchase. Prices may vary by country or region and may change as permitted by Apple and applicable law.

Auto-renewal, billing, and cancellation

RestLabs Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. Your account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.

If a free trial is offered, the subscription will begin after the trial ends unless you cancel before the end of the trial period. If you purchase a subscription during a free trial, any unused portion of the trial may be forfeited where applicable.

You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID subscription settings. Deleting the app does not automatically cancel your subscription.

Refund requests are handled by Apple according to Apple’s policies. RestLabs cannot directly issue App Store refunds.

Restore purchases

If you purchase RestLabs Pro and later reinstall the app or use it on another eligible device, you may use the restore purchases option in the app to recover active subscription access where supported by Apple and the App Store.

Free and Pro access

RestLabs is designed so the free app remains usable. Some content, features, rewards, or progression benefits may require RestLabs Pro. We may add, remove, adjust, rename, or rebalance free and Pro features over time as the app evolves.

Local data and device storage

RestLabs is designed to store most app data locally on your device. This may include workout logs, timer preferences, content progress, credits, unlocked backgrounds, and app settings.

Because RestLabs does not provide a cloud account system for this local data, your local app data may be lost if you delete the app, clear app storage, lose your device, restore your device without a compatible backup, or encounter device or software failure.

Notifications and permissions

RestLabs may request optional permissions such as notifications, microphone access, or speech recognition access depending on the features you choose to use. You can manage these permissions through your device settings.

Some features may not work if the required permission is denied or disabled.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse RestLabs, interfere with the app’s operation, attempt to reverse engineer or tamper with subscription access, use the app for unlawful purposes, or use the app in a way that violates applicable laws or the rights of others.

Ownership and license

RestLabs, including its design, app experience, written content, visual assets, features, code, and branding, is owned by RestLabs or used with permission, except where otherwise stated.

Subject to these Terms, you are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use RestLabs on devices you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and Apple’s applicable terms.

Apple standard terms

Your use of RestLabs through the App Store is also subject to Apple’s applicable App Store terms, including Apple’s standard end user license agreement unless a separate custom license is provided through Apple.

Changes to the app

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of RestLabs at any time. We may also change content, rewards, pricing, subscription benefits, or feature availability as the app evolves.

We are not responsible for interruptions, data loss, device issues, or feature changes except where required by applicable law.

Disclaimer of warranties

RestLabs is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RestLabs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, training progress, or other intangible losses arising from your use of or inability to use the app.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of RestLabs after updated Terms are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
